Fire Equipment
It is a requirement by Fire Safety Order 2005 law to provide fire-fighting equipment (article 13) of the right type, right amount and in the right locations. The equipment should be serviced annually (article 17) to minimise malfunction possibilities and leave this vital equipment in premium condition. Regulations set out in article 13 of the law are specific in that the tenant who brings additional fire risk to the building, is therefore liable for those risks. That tenant must take measures in providing fire-fighting equipment to tackle any type of fire they might encounter.
Fire extinguishers that you have, will have an active service life of 10 years and must be serviced annually in accordance with these regulations and issued with a fire inspection certificate. It is this certificate, signed by a qualified Fire Engineer, that you produce to a fire officer and/or insurance company upon request. Most insurance companies obligate their customers to comply with the Fire Safety Order.
We are at Spartan, we specialise in assessing your fire suppression needs and can supply, place, certify and even give you a demonstration on how to use your fire extinguishers. The ongoing annual check and servicing very much works like a car MOT. For a small charge we visit your premises once a year and after tests, issue you with a British standards certificate lasting you the following 12 months.
Alongside fire extinguishers, we also offer:
- Fire blankets
- Extinguisher stands
- Fire Logs
- Fire action notices
- Extinguisher & directional signage
